My travel story
Travel is the best educational way of learning life. I remember my first long-term trip to England when I was only 18 years old and I left my home country of France. When I came back to my Mother’s place a year later, she said to me: “You’re not a kid anymore, you’re an adult now”. Indeed, I learned so many different aspects of life over the year including how to look for lodging and work, how to setup a bank account, how to shop for groceries and how to cook, all in another language. This trip changed my entire lifestyle, the way to look at people around me, the way to communicate and connect with the world and the way to manage my own life.
From that moment on, I knew I was meant to work in the travel industry and share my experiences with other travellers.
One of my greatest travel memories is my one-year journey in New Zealand. Although every country brings me something new, this one made me change my lifestyle (again). Being so far from anything and living in a van for an entire year, I realized that inspiration was even higher in that South Pacific island due to their art and crafts, their food growth, their weather as the sun is so strong, their scenery from mountain/volcano to coast, and their history. I actually started to write my autobiography there, which I never finished because the inspiration stayed in Aotearoa, which is the Maori name for New Zealand.
My favourite destination
- Because they dance salsa and Rueda.
- Because they have a rich and valuable history.
- Because the people look happy, despite their current political condition.
Travel tips: TOLERANCE AND SHARING
Travel is about accepting differences of colour, language, food, lifestyle, philosophy of life, culture and scenery, and then sharing it with others. Travel is about inspiration, pleasure and happiness. Try it and you will see it.
