• Air Canada was fine, mostly kind and friendly. Limited on-board service. Handed out a small package with hygiene products & bottle of water.
• Air New Zealand was awesome. Staff were so friendly and helpful, very relaxed atmosphere while still complying with COVID requirements. Food was great on both flights.
• All flights went smoothly and on time. No problems at all.
• Overnight stay at La Quinta Vancouver Airport Hotel was fine. The room was good.
• Experience travelling with the COVID-19 restrictions were not a problem. Everyone everywhere wore masks and some wore even more PPE. Everyone at airports was very respectful of others and stayed at distance.
• Arrival at Melbourne was very organized and controlled from departing the plane, through checking names and receiving information on the way through to immigration control. Border Control personnel were very polite and helpful. We were escorted to an airport bus on the tarmac and assisted with loading baggage etc.
• No choice regarding what hotel, that was decided prior to our arrival. I've been placed at the Crown-Metropole in downtown Melbourne and the facility is very comfortable and safe with great protocols in place.
• Generally, my experience was very good.
